Last year I gave a Flash Talk on How I “hacked” my Happiness Engineer Trial at Automattic’s Grand Meetup in Park City, Utah (read how I got hired at Automattic here).

A Flash Talk at Automattic’s Grand Meetup is a short presentation that is given on ANY subject you like. The Grand Meetup (or “GM”) is the one time a year the entire company gets together. When you work remotely, it’s also a wonderful way to get to know your co-workers and their interests. It was one of my favorite things at my first Grand Meetup– I learned so much about my coworkers and their interests. Everything from the best way to tie shoes, nomadic lifestyle, gifs, and even an AMA.

I had no idea what I’m going to talk about- so I decided to do a presentation on How I “hacked” my Happiness Engineer trial.

Here are my slide’s from that presentation.

Right before my Happiness Engineer trial, I had watched a TED talk by Amy Cuddy on how your body language can shape who you are.

I’ve personally seen how my body language has shaped my productivity- specifically during my Happiness Engineer Trial.

I highly recommend giving this TED talk a watch…
