One of the biggest problems I seem to encounter, is that I never have enough time. According to a recent study, I’m not alone in this problem. People work an average of 45 hours a week; they consider about 16 of those hours to be unproductive. Which means that you’re only productive for 3 days out of your 5 day work week. That’s crazy right?
So barring that the universe suddenly starts to give us 36 hour days, how do we fix this? By being more productive! While I consider myself to be a very productive person, there is always room for improvement. Which why I found this article 6 Subtle Things Highly Productive People Do Every Day to be so fascinating. The biggest takeaway I had was to stop being in a reactive state of mind. Something that can put you in this mindset is by checking your email first thing in the morning. Which is why I am now on a schedule to check my email only twice a day and also scheduling uninterrupted work time (without email) early in the morning.
